"Correlates of Same-Sex Attractions and Behaviors among Identified Heterosexuals" (not linked here -- I'm working on submitting it)
This was my Master's-Equivalent Research Project (MERP), which is what we use in my program instead of a master's thesis. This paper came out of a largish undergraduate survey project, in which we found (a) that some people who identified as heterosexual on a simple categorical item also endorsed some same-sex attraction, fantasy, and/or behavior on a Klein Sexual Orientation Grid (KSOG); and (b) that these people were measurably different, in some ways, than heterosexuals who did not endorse any same-sex attraction, fantasy, or behavior. Notably, the former group had more positive attitudes toward LGB-identified people, and held more LGB-positive positions on a number of questions about policy (such as same-sex marriage and Don't Ask, Don't Tell).
"Scientific understandings of same-sex sexuality: Definitions, origins, identities, challenges"
A general review of psychological research into same-sex sexuality. This was originally a class paper from my first year, but I think it holds up well enough to be inclided here.
"Mindfulness: history, technologies, research, applications"
A brief review of mindfulness technologies and their psychotherapeutic applications. This was originally a class paper from my M.A. years at Pepperdine, but it's generated a tiny bit of interest on the Internet and a couple of sites link to it, so I've resurrected it from the dead.

Presentations

"Understanding Social Anxiety Among Lesbian, Gay, and Bisexual Individuals: Its Nature and Differential Presentation" (Morales Knight, L. F., Weiss, B. J., Singh, J. S., Emge, T. M., and Hope, D. A.)
A symposium presentation at the 2009 Annual Meeting of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT). Data from a community study show that LGB individuals' fear and avoidance of social situations is affected by prejudice threat. Path analyses suggest that prejudice-related fear of social situations is related to self-acceptance of LGB status, and that prejudice-related avoidance of social situations is related to need for acceptance by others of one's LGB status.
"Research into brain structures thought to differentiate between gay men and heterosexual men"
A 2009 class presentation summarizing biological research into same-sex sexuality generally, brain research ditto more specifically, and with a particular focus on Simon LeVay's 1991 paper "A difference in hypothalamic structure between heterosexual and homosexual men".
"A Brief History of Thought, Philosophy, and Psychology of Same-sex Sexuality"
A 2008 class presentation summarizing the history of psychological thinking about same-sex sexuality.
